There will be a variety of opportunities to participate in the update of the General Plan and the development of the Downtown Specific Plan. Your participation and input are essential to developing a community-driven plan that reflects our diverse community’s values and what we envision for the future City of San Bernardino. Here are a few ways you can be a part of it!
A series of community workshops are being held during the key milestones of the project. They’re a great opportunity to have your voice heard in a collaborative and interactive setting.
Community Guide to Planning Initiative
The Community Guide to Planning Initiative is a series of interactive and engaging workshops to educate residents on the history of planning, planning tools, and the decision-making processes.
General Plan Advisory Committee
The General Plan Advisory Committee serves as an important component of the public participation program providing one of the primary communication channels for the community making recommendations to the Planning Commission and the Mayor and City Council.
Downtown Advisory Committee
The Downtown Advisory Committee’s role is to provide input, feedback, and recommendations to City staff, the consultant team, the Planning Commission, and ultimately the Mayor and City Council on key components of the Downtown Specific Plan.
